“There is a growing concern that the welfare of health care staff needs to be addressed in the weeks and months ahead,” The BBC reports, as we check in on Covid-19 again today.

There have been 107.937,561 cases of Covid-19 worldwide and 2,367,122 deaths. In the UK, there have been 3,985,161cases and 114,851 deaths, according to Worldometer.

Hugh Pym’s report for the BBC shows how The Royal Free Hospital, London, which accepted its first Covid-19 patient a year ago, offers “support to staff at a time of immense strain and concerns about workforce wellbeing.”

This interview with staff about the impacts of Covid-19 – particularly the emotional ones – was also shared on Australia’s ABC News 24 today.
