Four planning steps – sounds complicated but they’re not.

A great short video to help you understand the basics of estate planning and making a will in Australia.

We had a great discussion about the things you need to do to be well- organised in the event of your demise, at the North Sydney Rotary lunchtime meeting, from 1pm March 5, 2020.

The organisers said we had a ‘full house’ with every member attending.

The following list might make you go cross-eyed. But to make the task easy getting an A4 sheet of paper and divide it into four. That’s it! End of the exercise. But make a mental note that the four grids you now have represent four aspects of getting your paper-work organised. Doing this – even in a simple way – is not as hard as it sounds. It involves:

  • Power of attorney
  • Substitute decision maker – name and contact details
  • Your advance care directive.

To find out more about these, check the items on Good Grief, looking first under the ‘advance planning’ tag.
