A Good Death is a guide to facilitate much needed conversation and provide resources for grief management and palliative care.

When her own mother died, author Margaret Rice realised how completely unprepared she and her family had been for the experience of companioning a loved one who is dying. So she decided to go in search of the information she couldn't find when she most needed it and write the book herself - A Good Death - a novice's guide to death.

Talking about death

In May 2019, Margaret Rice was a guest on Kerri-Anne Kennerley’s Studio Ten breakfast show.

“I know from personal experience, I was without question in absolute denial. I know what I was told. But for me it was, okay – the next plan, the next day, the next treatment, the next – everything was next, whether that’s a good thing or a bad thing, I don’t know. But that’s the only way I could cope,” Kerri-Anne said.
